12/24/2023 0 Comments Website wallpaperDirector Tom McLoughlin ( Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives and the underappreciated Sometimes They Come Back) features enough offbeat touches to transform the standard premise into a unique 80s horror movie that every horror fan should see at least once. Up to this point in the set-up, One Dark Night seems pretty standard fare and we pretty much know who’s going to get knocked off and who’s not. Because their mean girl leader Carol used to date Julie’s current boyfriend Steve, this guarantees an especially sadistic night that Julie has ahead of her and that’s before the dead bodies start getting up and walking around. Meanwhile, an obnoxious “club” of three (3) satin-jacket-wearing teenaged popular girls plot the initiation/humiliation of their wholesome new pledge Julie (played by Meg Tilly, later of The Big Chill and Psycho II, both from 1983). It turns out the murderer was a famed Russian psychic, interred in the mausoleum complex where most of the film will take place, his daughter Olivia and her husband (Adam West of TV’s Batman) are one of the few mourners on hand to pay respects to the dead man. As the film begins, six women have been murdered while their killer, dead of a heart attack, even after death seems to possess eerie powers (sparks shoot out of his hands, that’s how we know). One Dark Night is truly one of those movies that is a category of its own, but I’ll get to that later. Given its general premise, it could also be assumed that this is another low budget slasher knock-off. Again, thank you so much for your kind words about Vellum, and also your thoughts on how we can improve. As part of an initiation into a club called the Sisters, a young girl must spend the night in a mausoleum.Īt a quick glance, One Dark Nightmight be mistakenly lumped in with Phantasm (1979) as more evil funeral home fun. We will be adding more (diverse content) packs in the next couple of months with a more rapid release schedule ahead. I agree and think we can add more versatile and diverse packs. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts on how we can improve. Update: The variety is much better now, love the new packs. So please keep up the good work and use my criticism to your advantage. Overall, this app has great potential, if I didn’t see that I wouldn’t have paid for the premium version. I do understand quality over quantity, but I’d like to enjoy the quality over a wider variety of wallpapers, not over 40 images of the so called “ombré effect”. ![]() Sure, we have a good selection of categories to choose from, but at least half of the categories have images that sort of “repeat” themselves and look very similar and it makes them a bit boring. That being said, the wallpaper inventory is lacking. This is the highest quality wallpaper app I’ve found on the App Store. The experience is immersive and feels a lot like an OEM product. I have yet to find an image, graphic or logo that doesn’t look crisp or is not optimized. From the look of the app’s user interface to the very images it beholds. Missed a day?
